FREDERICKSBURG, VA (WWBT) -

A Fredericksburg family discovered a grenade?during a day of housecleaning. ?

The grenade was found in the bottom of a trunk.The trunk had other personal items related to military service going back to World War II.

The state police bomb squad came to the house, and a technician safely removed the grenade.
