Sony Xperia i1 Honami detailed specification leaks online

Sony may not be making too much
headlines since it announced the Xperia Z Ultra, but that doesn't mean
that the company is not working on any other devices. The latest buzz is
about the Japanese handset vendor's next flagship device Xperia i1,
popularly known as 'Honami', that has been the subject of several leaks
in the past.

According to ePrice, Sony Xperia i1 will come with a 5.0-inch display with 1080p resolution. It will be powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM. The most-talked about specification is its 20-megapixel Exmor RS camera that would also feature Sony G-lens and BIONZ image processor which are usually found in some of Sony's digital cameras.

The front will house a 2.0-megapixel camera. The device will come with 16GB expandable storage, though the maximum supported capacity has not been detailed yet. The device will include a 3,000mAh battery and would come with dimensions 144x73.9x8.3mm. It will run the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

The device is also said to come with IP57 certification which means it is dust-and water-resistant.

It is being said that Sony will unveil its Honami smartphone at a press event on September 4 at the IFA expo in Berlin. ePrice further claims that Sony has already sent out invitations related to the launch of Sony Xperia i1 Honami.

The Sony Xperia i1 'Honami' alleged press shots were leaked a few days ago. Earlier the model number of the handset was confirmed to be C6906.

How to request a refund for an iTunes or App Store purchase

How to request a refund for an iTunes or App Store purchase

Ever had a time where you needed a refund for either an iTunes or App Store purchase? Whether you accidentally purchased something, got double billed, or have clever children that have figured out the art of in-app purchases, Apple does give you the ability to request refunds for any kind of media as well as App Store purchases all in one place.

Follow along and we'll show you how to report a problem with a recent purchase.

Before we begin, it's worth noting that most of the time, iTunes will not refund anything that is older than 90 days. So keep that in mind when trying to report an issue with a purchase. As long as the purchase was within the past 90 days, continue along and we'll show you have to file a request for a refund.

  1. Launch iTunes on either your Mac or PC.
  2. Click on the iTunes Store button if you aren't already in it.
  3. Now click on your email address and enter your password. If you aren't signed in at all, you'll see a general sign in option.
  4. Once you've signed into your account, click on See All under the Purchase History section.
  5. Here you'll see lists of different iTunes invoices. Find the invoice that contains the item in question and click on it.
  6. Click on the button labeled Report a Problem.
  7. Next you'll be taken to another screen that shows the same batch of apps in that invoice. Click on the Report a Problem option next to the specific app purchase in question.
  8. You'll now be routed out of iTunes and to iTunes Support on the web. Simply sign in to your Apple ID that you use for iTunes purchases one more time.
  9. Here you'll see another detailed list of apps that you've recently purchased within the past 90 days. Click on Report a Problem one more time next to the app you're trying to get a refund for.
  10. From the dropdown, select the reason you'd like a refund. There are several options from you not authorizing the purchase to accident purchases. Put any other pertinent information into the text box and hit Submit.

That's all there is to it. You should receive a confirmation email from iTunes Support that they have received your request. You'll receive a follow up response with Apple's decision on a refund within a short period of time.

Madden NFL 25 Pimps GMC's Rides

After the Super Bowl, the MVP is usually presented with some car and if he's a pitchman for another auto maker, it can be kind of awkwardly funny. But in Madden NFL 25, your quarterback will go up there and graciously accept that GMC truck, dammit.

GMC is the official vehicle of the NFL, and that relationship will now be reflected in Madden because realism money. "The vehicles will appear at various points during gameplay, including after a Super Bowl victory. Just as in real life, the game?s MVP will be awarded a vehicle. Four big ol' 'Merican trucks will be featured, including the 2014 Sierra Denali (pictured), as well as the Yukon, Acadia and Terrain models.

"The vehicles will appear at various points during gameplay, including after a Super Bowl victory," says a news release from GMC. "Just as in real life, the game?s MVP will be awarded a vehicle." GMC also will be sponsoring what sounds like the old Madden Moments Live series, except now it's called the ?Never Say Never Moment of the Week." These are basically scenarios from real NFL games that you can attempt to repeat in Madden.

In-game advertising is hardly a new concept in sports video games, even those not made by EA Sports, but Madden is the series least able to get away with it. Every time it does something like this (remember the Old Spice Swagger rating?) people tear their hair, throw things and wave the bloody shirt of NFL 2K5. Feel free to do so in the comments.

Tips for More Effective Public Speaking | Writing and Publishing News

We were talking about public speaking and communication for authors last week. Here are some specific tips for more effective public speaking:

Speak up and speak out. Many inexperienced orators speak too softly or they allow their voices to drop toward the end of their sentences. Whether addressing a large audience or a small group, always speak so that you can be heard even in the back of the room. I recommend standing to speak. Your voice will carry better if you do.

Repeat audience questions. When someone asks a question during your presentation, always repeat it before answering it. This ensures that everyone hears it.

Make eye contact. Move your attention around the room as you speak, making eye contact with each person

Don?t apologize. Avoid sabotaging your presentation by making excuses for not being well prepared or for poor speaking skills. Stand tall, appear self-assured and you will gain the confidence of your audience.

If you need help honing your public speaking skills and getting speaking gigs, order this book today: ?Talk Up Your Book, How to Sell Your Book Through Public Speaking, Interviews, Signings, Festivals, Conferences and More.? It?s at Amazon.com in print, Kindle and audio and at most other online and downtown bookstores. Or order your copy here: http://www.matilijapress.com/TalkUpYourBook.html

Stevie Wonder boycotts Fla. post-Zimmerman

Music

Florida fans of Stevie Wonder who want to see the legend sing are going to have to go on a road trip for the near future. During a performance in Quebec City, Canada, on Sunday, the Grammy-winning performer spoke out about the recent acquittal of George Zimmerman and announced he would boycott the state.

"I decided today that until the 'Stand Your Ground' law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again," he told the audience. "As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world."

Though the "stand your ground" law arguably was not a factor in Zimmerman's acquittal, it was a much-discussed potential motivation for Zimmerman's actions on the night of Feb. 26, 2012, when he and Martin had their deadly encounter.

Earlier in his over three-minute announcement, captured by a fan at the concert on YouTube, Wonder asked his fans to join him in the boycott.

"For those that we have lost in the battle for justice, wherever that fits in any part of the world ? we can't bring them back," he said. "(What) we can do is we can let our voices be heard. And we can vote in our various countries throughout the world for change and equality for everybody. That's what I know we can do."

Wonder isn't the first celebrity to speak out post-verdict; others have given voice to their concerns about the acquittal on Twitter and elsewhere, but his appears to be the first entertainer to actively take his business out of the state in reaction to the decision.

Last November Wonder withdrew from a Los Angeles gala in which he was set to perform in support of the Israeli Defence Forces after a petition urged him to rethink his performance.

Skoda aims to win younger buyers with the Rapid Spaceback, a new compact car that will compete against vehicles such as the VW Golf and Ford Focus.

The Rapid Spaceback is a shorter and more sporty-looking variant of the Rapid notchback, which is already on sale.

Skoda said the Rapid Spaceback has a more dynamic design and more customization options to appeal to a younger customer group.

"The new Rapid Spaceback is a milestone for Skoda. It means that we are entering the strategically important segment of compact hatchback models," Skoda CEO Winfried Vahland said in a statement.

The Rapid Spaceback?s tail end features clear lines that create a balanced and uncluttered impression, Skoda says.

At 4300mm, the Rapid Spaceback is 180mm shorter than the Rapid notchback. Its shorter rear overhang reduces cargo volume to 415 liters, which is 135 liters less than the notchback. With rear seats folded down, the volume expands to 1,380 liters.

The Rapid Spaceback will be offered with four gasoline and two diesel engines. The most efficient unit will have CO2 emissions of 99 grams per km.

The five-door hatchback will go on sale in Europe in October, a month after its debut at the Frankfurt auto show. Skoda did not disclose prices but reports said the car will cost about 15,000 euros in Germany, 1,000 euros more than the notchback.

The Rapid notchback, shown, will be joined by the Rapid Spaceback in October..

Skoda is expanding is product lineup and entering new segments in a bid to boost annual global vehicle sales to 1.5 million by 2018. The brand's volume fell 6 percent to 464,600 in the first half.
